Delton Early Learning & OSC is a facility dedicated to providing excellent childcare for Delton & surrounding neighbourhoods. We are equipped with the latest technology, educational materials, & community resources to ensure each child has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
We are a play-based centre geared towards channeling a child’s curiosity into learning and development through play. Our child-oriented philosophy encourages and supports children to expand their knowledge in a stimulating yet safe play environment that is both age and developmentally appropriate. Our skilled staff actively participate in the child’s experience through communication and play — both indoors and outdoors.
We walk our school-aged children to Delton Elementary School (right across the street!), and we welcome bus-ins from nearby schools like Northmount, Scott Robertson, Victoria, and Ben Calf Robe.
Our in-house hot lunches and snacks are nutritious, fresh, and made fresh every day. We follow Canada’s Food Guide and Alberta’s Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth to ensure balanced, healthy meals that fuel growing bodies and minds.
We use evidence-based, positive, age-appropriate methods to guide behaviour. Our focus is on helping children develop self-regulation, social skills, and respectful interactions. Techniques include prevention, redirection, encouragement, modeling, discussion, and problem-solving – always with warmth and respect.
